Boudoir Experience
Every boudoir photography session is going to be different, because every person is different (this may seem obvious, but I figure it’s worth mentioning). I have lots of favorite, go-to poses and ideas I use in sessions, but I try to cater every session to YOU. I am down to capture you in all your badassery, whatever that looks like.
What stays constant in every boudoir session is this: I am your HYPE GIRL, for real. I’m an introvert until I get behind a camera, then I am ready to tell you how amazing you’re doing, how radiant you look, and how hella brave you are!! Hell, you SHOWED UP and that is more than sooo many people do.
So here’s the lowdown on how these sessions roll:
Inquire
First things first— You contact me! Hit up my contact form, tell me a little bit about yourself or why you want to do a boudoir photography session. We’ll chat, look at availability, decide if you want a session in my studio or in an alternate space, like a rental studio.
Book your session!
I will consult with you about ALL THE THINGS you have questions about. Wardrobe, hair and makeup, pre-session prep do’s and don’ts. The whole nine yards. Once all your questions are answered and we have a time, date, and location set, I will send over a Booking Proposal, which will have a contract for your session and invoice for the non-refundable initial payment (retainer), which is 50% of the session fee. This holds your date in my calendar! Once the Booking Proposal is completed, you’re booked!
Pre-session prep
Once you’re booked, I send over my pre-session Prep Guide, full of tips to get the most out of your boudoir session! I also include an outfit guide, how to get to my studio (if your session is booked for my space), and a Model Release based on your preferences (clients choose from full, anonymous, web-only model releases, or no model release at all which means your photos will remain completely private).
Get in front of my camera!
Boudoir session time! If your session is in my studio, I’ll have everything set up for you when you arrive. We’ll play my kickass music playlist and take a ton of photos. I recommend setting aside at least 2 hours for your boudoir session— it typically only take 1-1.5 hours to photograph you, but a) I don’t check my clock every 2 minutes to check the time and b) I want to make sure we get all the photos you want! I also have sample albums in my studio for you to look at, plus you want to take your time getting undressed and dressed.
So, don’t schedule something else right after your session! Go home, relax, eat tacos or pizza.
Image Reveal and Products
In the days after your session, I will lightly edit your photos (to about 90% complete, including edits to color, contrast, black and white, etc) and we will schedule a digital image reveal over Zoom. During your image reveal session, you pick out the images included in your session package plus any additional photos you’d like to purchase, which I will do the final edits on. I offer a bunch of STUNNING, high quality products like luxury photo albums, folio boxes, wall art, and more, which you can order during your image reveal.
Albums and products can take up to 4 weeks to be produced and shipped, so when planning your session give yourself time if you are planning a spicy surprise for someone!
Frequently asked questions
-
If you have a timeline in mind, I recommend planning your session AT LEAST 6 weeks ahead of when you need your photos! This means if you’re giving your photos as a gift (wedding, birthday, Valentine’s, etc), your session should be at least 6 weeks before.
I tend to book up 2-3 months in advance as well, so keep that in mind when you reach out to book!

That’s up to you! Every client gets to pick which level model release they are comfortable with! The different model release types are:
- Full model release: shared everywhere— social media, website, potentially submitted for publishing, etc.
- Anonymous model release: only photos that do not have your recognizable features would be shared— photos from behind, cropped photos, details, etc.
- Limited model release: you hand pick which images can be shared
- Private: no photos shared at all -
Plan to bring 3-4 outfits or outfit combos (some poses look great with just bottoms on, if you’re comfortable bearing your back)! If you want to do nude/white sheet photos, that counts as an outfit. ;)
I also have a few luxury costume pieces that can be utilized— if you want to use the, plan your outfits accordingly. -
I recommend blocking off at least 2 hours in your schedule for your boudoir session— we will probably only use 1 hour of active photographing time, but you don’t want to rush yourself and have plenty of time to change outfits and take a look at some of the sample products I have.

Nope! If my studio isn’t your vibe, that’s fine! We can rent a photography studio in the NKY/Cincinnati area (additional fees will apply), use a location you have access to, etc.
-
Sort of! Most of my clients prefer to purchase their own lingerie or outfits, so I have some luxury costume pieces and accessories that are available to use during sessions!

White angel wings
Leather handcuffs, ankle cuffs, hogtie, and harness
Crown
Small feather fan
Cathedral length wedding veil
Body chain necklace(s)
Faux flowers
White sheets and sheers
Assorted jewelry

I won’t retouch anything you would have 2 weeks from our session— I WILL edit out blemishes, bruises, cuts/scratches, but I will not alter your body or anything that makes you, you.

Yes!!

No!! You don’t HAVE to wear makeup, shave, be naked, wear lingerie, lose weight, or ANYTHING to be photographed! You are worthy of gorgeous images just as you are. If you want to wear makeup— great! If you want to shave/wax/tan/whatever self care you like to do to feel good— awesome! You are art, when you walk through the door. Everything else is optional.
