Costume Wedding at Red Orchard Barn | Kara and Matt

I absolutely love photographing unique weddings in the Louisville-area, and Kara and Matt’s costume wedding was definitely up my alley. Their wedding was the weekend after Halloween, a perfect excuse for everyone to don their costumes once more and party!

You may remember Kara and Matt from their Whitehall Garden engagement photo session in the spring! Their wedding was at Red Orchard Barn in Shelbyville, which was a perfect setting surrounded by gorgeous trees in full autumn color. The ceremony was officiated by their friend, Mandy Olivam; and Kara hand made her dress— meant to look like a flower— while Matt wore a bee costume! I loved photographing him “chasing” her around the park. Other details included painted hexagons hanging from the tree under which the ceremony took place, a game area with corn hole, and donuts and pizza to nosh on!
